Alcoholism

   Alcoholism - excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages , leading to disruption of metabolism in the body, the destruction of the liver, heart and kidneys. Systematic use of alcohol leads to alcoholism . Alcoholism - a disease characterized by physical and mental disorders , personality change .
   Symptoms. The disease develops gradually , imperceptibly , and the drinker , and is regarded as the first habit . One of the early symptoms - the disappearance of the gag reflex in a strong intoxication. The most constant feature of chronic alcoholism is a hangover : drinking alcohol on the day after small doses of alcohol intoxication removes disorders such as nausea, headache, general weakness .
   Traditional methods of treatment: Any treatment should be aimed at changing the behavior of the alcoholic. There are many good programs to combat alcoholism , which involve doctors or psychologists . Some programs focus on abstinence from alcohol , others aim to reduce its consumption within acceptable limits. Treatable , and in very rare cases, a person can deal with it on their own. Although recovery must come from within , decisive impetus often comes from the outside. Alcoholics need momentum , feedback and support from relatives or friends.
