RABIES

  RABIES . The causative agent of this contagious disease ( virus) is transmitted to humans from sick dogs, cats, wild animals through bites . Symptoms occur after 15 days - 3 months after the bites.
   Signs . The disease begins with nausea , sleep disorder. Then there are muscle cramps throat when sick sees the water and tries to swallow it. Develop respiratory muscle spasms , resulting in frustrated breath. Slightest stimulation ( light, noise , draft ) often provoke holotetanus . Kind of water or one thought about drinking causes painful muscle spasm of the pharynx , and the patient can not drink, though thirsty . Voice becomes hoarse , hard salivate . There are delusions and hallucinations . In a state of delirium he tries to escape. Consciousness of the patient usually is not broken , and he tries not to cause harm to others . In the midst of the disease often develop paralysis and paresis of the extremities , and occasionally there are cramps. Before his death, sometimes dramatically increased body temperature, marked psychomotor agitation , lack of air . Recovery does not happen. Death comes suddenly, without agony.
   Assistance . Try to call the doctor immediately . Before the arrival of "emergency" isolate the patient , darken the room in which it lies , create peace , eliminate drafts. If there was agitation is necessary to keep the patient , trying not to scream at him .
