Glaucoma

   Glaucoma - increased pressure inside the eye. There are primary and secondary forms of glaucoma . The primary form is associated with impaired outflow of intraocular fluid , a secondary form is a complication of diseases. Glaucoma results in the complete or partial blindness. Under any form of glaucoma early treatment can reduce intraocular pressure and keep it within the normal range . This reduces to a minimum the harmful effects on the retina and optic nerve.
   Symptoms. Glaucoma usually develops slowly and imperceptibly. Therefore, at the time of the onset of symptoms and permanent damage to the eye can already be quite significant. Possible narrowing of the field of view , which manifests itself as a tunnel vision that can develop to a complete loss of vision. Acute glaucoma attack is accompanied by a sharp pain in the eye , in the forehead , deterioration of general condition , nausea , vomiting.

   Traditional methods of treatment: Depending on the form of glaucoma medication administered orally , use eye drops , laser surgery and conventional surgical methods.
